I have a "Digital Melectronic MR-220 tranzitor radio" very old, as I once cleaned it inside, I saw old transistors that were hand mounted in it. But even though it is hand mounted, it is a digital radio with a digital screen.
And I search it EVERYWERE online. I have not even found photoes of it. I will in the future make a video of it and upload that instead. I have a feeling that it might be the ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD or A VERY SMALL NUMBER of them in the world, cuase it is latterly none existing online. Can somebody please tell me the value and year on a "Digital Melectronic MR-220 tranzitor radio" in almost MINT CONDITION like mine is.
I know this MUST BE a collectors item I have and to think about it, I bought it almost on nothing as when I bought it the guy selling it found it in junk so he never even tested it and of course it was dirty as hell too.
But after some cleaning it, now it is in almost mint condition and it was only dirt that made it ugly, it has very little scratches and fully working too. I guess the guy who sold me it, had no clue what he was selling. But I know now this must be a collectors item and very hard to find, not even the internet has it. I Googled every were, I have not found it.
NOTE that it has old transistors in side and it looks like it was assembled by hand, not robots like modern radios are.

Note that I bought the radio in 2003 at second hand from a guy who sold salvaged things but I never never bothered to look it up till now.

I knew it was old and maybe one of the first high end electronic radios made, that is why it looks so moderns and it fools people cause of its design. But I never thought it was so rare. Today i understood how rare it is as long as there is NOWERE on Google one can find this radio. It is like it never existed.

But it is not a cheep one, it is heavy and fells robust built. And as I said, inside it has 2 to 3 layers of electronic plates with components on them. All components are old school and from the looks of it mounted by hand.
So it cannot be a modern radio, although it looks modern in design.

Maybe it was a FUTURISTIC model made once and it is one of a kind or maybe not many was built. I cannot find any other explanation of how it come that it has such a modern look, but so old electronics inside.

It is a STRANGE mix, old electronics and modern design and look to it.

It is made in 1978 in Swizerland. The model "Melectronic MR-220" was stopped producing since 1994 and between the years 1983 to 1994 they only produced big stations, almost no radios at all. The electronic components inside are mixed Swiss with Japanese and these models are known to never die. They keep on working and working and working. Sadly not many were built that is why they are so rare.
Melectronic has build a loot of radios, but not this model they have just a few.
Later in 1983 they were called "DAK Industries DMR-3000" but the name "Melectronic MR-220" was from 1978 then they changed name as this model was bought by another company who called it "DAK Industries DMR-3000".

If we google "DAK Industries DMR-3000" you will find it. And he was right I did find it under a different brand name, but the same model. This is because in 1984 this model was bought by another brand.
This is why the "Melectronic MR-220" is so RARE, they were not many made under the name "Melectronic".

So yea I have a special radio that is more popular under a different name, but under this name is VERY VERY UNUSUAL to have, almost impossible to find. Also the new name "DMR-3000" is not many in the world either, even though they are a loot more then the old name "Melectronic MR-220".
.
Anyway now after research and such I got the answer.
BIG THANK you for this guy on FaceBook who told me of the "DAK Industries DMR-3000".
Without his advice I would never have known all of this today.

The value for a "DAK Industries DMR-3000" is at around 150 to 200 usd.
But since this is not a "DAK Industries DMR-3000", but it is a "Melectronic MR-220" witch is the exact same thing but older, it makes it more rare so the value should be about 200 to 500 usd depending in what condition it is and who is the buyer. Mine I would say at 400 usd as it is almost in mind condition.

The motive to why the price goes up so much is because it is a "Melectronic MR-220" and not a later copy named "DAK Industries DMR-3000" that is a loot more popular.
