I think there's a case to be made for classifying this not so much as a game but more a 'simulation' whereas things like Chess and Go are games in that they're easily quantifiable.

a Simulation would be more like Risk or Settlers of Catan. It's a world builder, Magic isn't a world builder LOL if anything more Planes of the Multiverse of Magic have be destroyed than helped.
